Mr. Fu Zhihuan

Mr. Fu Zhihuan was born in Harbin on April 11, 1938. He served as deputy director of Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute of China’s Ministry of Railways (MOR), director of Science and Technology Bureau of MOR and Minister of MOR, etc. He is one of the pioneers in the field of electric locomotive in China. He organized the first four rounds of railway speedup in China and led the construction of China's first dedicated passenger line (high-speed railway) between Qinhuangdao and Shenyang. He was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2001.
