
Mr. Alioune Sall
Founder of the African Futures Institute
Dr. Sall completed his Masters and Doctorate in Sociology from Paris VII. He conducted research and lectured with the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning, and Environmental Development Action in Africa and the Third World. Dr. Sall has had a distinguished career with the United Nations Development Programme where he has held several senior positions, including at the Headquarters in New York where he was Deputy Director of the Non-Governmental Organisations Division and Chief of the office of the Africa Bureau, and South Africa, where he was Chief of the United Nations Development Programme liaison office. Dr. Sall recently served as special advisor to President of Liberia in her capacity as co-Chair of the UN HLP of Eminent Persons on the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
