
H.E. Ms. Paola Bustamante
Minister of Social Inclusion, Peru
Minister Paola Bustamante Suárez is a lawyer by profession, with a diploma from the University San Martin de Porres. She also has an MBA on Public Management from University of Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Spain, and a PhD in Political Science from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
In 2001 she participated as lead consultant in the Study of Evaluation of Quality Management of the services provided by the Program of Adoptions, playing the same role for the design of the pilot project on the promotion of opportunities for participation for adolescents in situation of poverty and social risk.
Between 2008 and 2011, she served as Director of the Office of Management and International Negotiations of the Peruvian International Cooperation Agency - APCI. In addition, she served as a consultant for the United Nations Development Programme, UNDP, and for the association Monitoring, Analysis and Evaluation for Development - SASE, to prepare the document "Technical basis for popular capitalization from sanitation and titling of urban property.
During 2012 she served as Executive Director of the National Food Assistance Program - PRONAA, presiding since early this year the Special Committee tasked with supervising the winding down of that program.
From August 2013 to February 2014, she served as Deputy Minister of Social Services at the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion.
