Industrial Engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana with an MBA from Oxford B. University; Mr. Garzón had post-graduate studies in Business Management in Berkeley.
Graduated from the President's Business Program at Kellogg Business School at Northwestern University in the United States, Yale University's strategic negotiation executive and senior executive in human resources management at the University of Michigan.
He has worked professionally in the public and private sectors. In the Presidency of the Republic he was Coordinator of the Regional Strategy Anticorruption, and Advisor of Modernization, Efficiency and Transfer of the State.
In the private sector, he was Director of Planning and Development of Cemex Colombia; Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility at Ladrillera Santafé; And Director of Human Resources in El Condimientos El Rey.
Mr. Garzón currently holds the position of Minister of Social Prosperity of Colombia, through which he leads and coordinates the implementation of policies, general plans, programs and projects for poverty eradication, social inclusion, and reconciliation, recovery of territories, attention and repairs to victims of violence.
