H.E. Mr. Luis Alberto Rodríguez
Director, Colombia National Planning Department
Mr. Luis Alberto Rodriguez was appointed Director of Colombia’s National Planning Department in August 2019. Prior to this he served as Technical Vice-Minister of Finance, the youngest person to hold this position in Colombia. Mr. Rodriguez is a former Chief Economist of the National Banking Institutions Association (Asobancaria) and also served as an economic advisor for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Colombia. He was a professor at both the University of Rosario and the National University of Colombia. Mr. Rodriguez holds a Masters in Economic Policy from Columbia University and previously studied economics at Colombia’s National University as well as the University of Toulouse in France.
