Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Senegal to the United States; concurrently accredited to Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay and Uruguay
July 2010 to July 2012: Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Senegal to the Republic of South Africa, with jurisdiction including Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe
August 2006 to July 2010: Consul General of Senegal in New
York; my work included the assistance to Senegalese citizens and mediating in civil matters, organizing the participation of all Senegalese nationals to Presidential and Parliamentary elections organized in collaboration with representatives of competing Senegalese political parties.
August 2001- August 2006: Minister Counselor at the Permanent Mission of Senegal to the United Nations in New York, in charge of human rights, gender issues, disarmament and peacekeeping issues and of security council affairs
1995- 2001: Diplomatic Adviser to the President of the Republic of Senegal;
1993 – 1994: Head of the Africa Division/Ministry of Foreign
Affairs, in charge of all African countries; in this capacity, visited many of these countries, analyzing political and social data, including electoral processes
