
Dr. Anjeela Devi Jokhan

Dr. Jokhan has been at the University of the South Pacific (USP) for over 25 years. She has a very good understanding of the issues relation to SIDS as all of the 12 USP member countries are SIDS. She has been heavily involved in issues of climate change in SIDS and has worked closely with stakeholders working on building resilience to climate change impacts in the Pacific. Dr. Jokhan has been representing the University in numerous national, regional and international forums in areas of SIDS, climate, and the environment. Her involvement with the University Consortium of Small Island States (UCSIS) has been extensive. She is Chair of the Programme Committee of UCSIS and UCSIS has developed a virtual programme in a Masters in Sustainable Development to assist SIDS in building capacity for sustainable development.
