Stakeholder engagement in Chile in the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: Preparing for the 2017 HLPF

Background
(a) Increase Chilean stakeholders’ awareness of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including understanding of the inter-disciplinary nature of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how organizations and practitioners must adapt to address sustainable development holistically;
(b) Provide a space for stakeholder and government officials to come together and generate recommendations for meaningful and sustainable engagement of stakeholders in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and discuss the preparation of Chile’s 2017 Voluntary National Review (VNR);
(c) Provide an opportunity to draw on the experiences of the 2016 High Level Political Forum (HLPF) and resource persons to identify best practices, gaps, challenges, opportunities and lessons learned both in the preparation of the VNR and in the presentations at the HLPF.
