Background
The Meeting on the challenges of monitoring and accountability for the post-2015 development agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean was held at the headquarters of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), in Santiago on 28 and 29 August 2014, in the framework of the twenty-ninth session of the Committee of the Whole of ECLAC. The meeting was convened by the Executive Secretary of the Commission and the Government of Peru, by virtue of resolution 687(XXXV) adopted by ECLAC and bearing in mind the need to identify instruments and modalities for follow-up and future evaluation of the post-2015 development agenda.
