Objective: Follow-up meeting (2nd) bringing the Major Groups and Post 2015 constituencies together to discuss positions on the post 2015/SDGs agenda and take steps toward coordinated advocacy on the Rio+20 processes, in particular the Open Working Group (OWG), high level political forum (hlpf) negotiations and sustainable development financing strategy.
1. Introductions by Meeting co-facilitators: Women's Major Groups (WMGs) representative and Rosa Lizarde, Feminist Task Force GCAP and Women's Coalition on Post 2015 [5-10 minutes]
2. Recap of April 16th meeting [Debra Jones - 30 min]
3. Liaise with teleconference on plans around the release and dissemination of High Level Panel Report [30 min- Lysa John] Update and HLP plans for:
regional and national launch events of the HLP report
thematic and constituency driven response events and dialogues
initiatives that would enable the Panel's report to strengthen community and citizen
4. Preliminary findings regarding participation in the hlpf [Barbara Adams - 30 min]
5. Thematic mapping of Post 2015 and Post Rio+20 SDGs processes [Jeff Huffines - 45 min]
- How can public participation be improved in MDG and post 2015 processes;
- What are the options for this in GA
6. Meaningful participation in Post 2015 and Post Rio+20 SDGs processes [30 MIN] Sascha Gabizon]
- Inclusion of marginalized and under-represented groups,
- Involvement of the international CSO/NGO community beyond UN/New York
- Inclusion of thematic diversity
7. Continuation of concrete proposals and coordinated advocacy on OWG, HLP report, hlpf, financing for sustainable development [45 min)
8. Next steps and Actionable items – [Rosa Lizarde – 15 min)
