The event will seek to build climate ambition in the lead-up to COP26 and accelerate progress towards delivering the SDGs in the context of COVID-19 recovery. Speakers will outline concrete opportunities for policymakers, the public sector and civil society to use climate action to support a rapid and inclusive recovery from COVID-19, framed around the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement on climate change. In advance of COP26, the event will also assess how countries can deliver enhanced NDCs and long-term climate strategies, and measures to strengthen adaptation and resilience to future shocks.
