Strengthening Youth Participation at the UN 2023 Water Conference related events

The UN 2023 Water Conference is expected to be inclusive, and side-event organizers are encouraged to promote multi-stakeholder and inter-generational discussions during their sessions, as appropriate.

Youth engagement in the water sector is critical to achieve the ambitious targets of SDG 6: as present and future leaders and inspirers of change. To facilitate the connection between Youth participants and organizers of events in connection with the UN 2023 Water Conference, an informal ‘match-making platform’ has been set up.

The platform is facilitated by the International Secretariat for Water with the support from other partners of the Global Youth Movement for Water. This initiative is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and counts on DESA’s outreach and collaboration.

If you wish to mobilize and engage with a young person for one (or many) sessions/events, please fill-out this form: https://forms.gle/1qVbDmWdsYD3ADVf7

A member of the International Secretariat for Water team will put you in contact with young delegates who have confirmed their participation to the UN 2023 Conference and who fit the profile which you are looking for.

If you are a young person planning to attend the Conference and would like to be added to the reference bank, please, sign up here.
