Progress on achieving SDG 6

Spain is one of the most vulnerable countries to change climate, whose effects project a future scenario with increases in temperature, added to a variation extreme rainfall and droughts, which will critically affect future water availability, and it will have very important implications in sectors such as agriculture, livestock, forestry or tourism.

In addition to being subject to overexploitation, 61% of the country’s surface water bodies and 45% of the underground water ones are affected by pollution.
