Expert speakers presented a timeline for what actions are needed to eliminate cooking poverty by 2030, achieve universal access to modern cooking technologies by 2040, and get to net-zero emissions from cooking by 2050. Investors need to be made aware of what clean cooking technologies would be most effective for investment, and public financing needs to be made available to leverage private investment solutions, they said at this webinar on 5 July entitled "Towards a Global Roadmap for the Just and Inclusive Clean Cooking Transition". The need for developed countries to also pursue cleaner cooking as part of the energy transition was also highlighted by speakers and panellists.

The full roadmap and recommendations can be found in the policy brief on this crucial issue, to be published and available here shortly. A launch event will be held on 12 July during the UN High-level Political Forum.
