The open call for in-person inside the Conference Venue (Blue Zone), off-site and virtual side events is now closed.  Over 1,250 side event proposals were received, demonstrating strong global interest and engagement for UNOC3.

Side events will be held in three formats: 1) at the Conference venue (Blue Zone), 2) at various off-site locations across the city of Nice, and 3) virtually across multiple time zones.

Please note that the programme is subject to change. To ensure you have the most up-to-date version, always check the date on the first page.

Off-site and virtual side event programmes are coming soon, with side events across Nice and in various time zones.

For more information about off-site side event locations, please visit this website created by the co-hosts: https://unocnice2025.org/en/actualites-presse/discover-the-list-of-bookable-side-event-venues-in-nice-villefranche-sur-mer-and-monaco/

Side Events

Side events will be organized in connection with the 2025 UN Ocean Conference, either in-person or virtually, by Member States, the UN system, Intergovernmental Organizations and accredited non-governmental stakeholders. The side events will be an opportunity for all participants to share knowledge and solutions to accelerate implementation of SDG 14, identify new and emerging issues, exchange national and local experiences and practices, and showcase voluntary commitments for the Voluntary Ocean Commitments.

Side events should be closely related to the main theme of the 2025 UN Ocean Conference: “Accelerating action and mobilizing all actors to conserve and sustainably use the ocean”. They should address innovative ways and means to support the implementation of SDG 14.

Please read carefully the Guidelines document for organizers HERE.
