Background

This report presents results of two assessments conducted among 240 Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Cebu city, the Philippines on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The assessments were conducted with the aim to capture the unfolding of the impact of pandemic on MSMEs. The report presents findings on the impact of the pandemic, including the reduction of sales, income losses and supply chain disruptions. It also revealed coping strategies initiated by MSMEs, including business pivoting, taking multiple jobs and exploring e-commerce opportunities to compensate the loss of income and customers.
