The present summary report was prepared by the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat in response to paragraph 4 of resolution 80/131 in which the United Nations General assembly reiterated the “invitation to the Secretary-General to seek the views of Member States and relevant entities of the United Nations system, including regional commissions, on issues relating to reliable and stable energy connectivity, as well as on possible ways to strengthen international cooperation in this sphere, and to communicate such views in a summary report of the Secretariat to the General Assembly at its eighty-first session for further consideration.”
