Alliance for Rural Electrification (2nd SE4All Forum Commitments)

    Description
    Description
As the voice of the private sector in the area, the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) has become the worldwide contact point for off-grid renewable energy solutions along the whole value chain, building on its reputation as a leading and credible partner for business development, public affairs and event-related activities. ARE is today the only business association under the SE4All initiative to be recognized as the private sector partner.

ARE activities goes beyond the traditional services of sharing best practices and technical recommendations and acting as a platform for business matching. The Alliance engages in numerous stakeholder activities to effectively implement turn-key technologies in developing and emerging regions e.g. through the intensified cooperation between UNF and ARE who together run the Secretariat of the SE4All High Impact Opportunity (HIO) on Clean Energy Mini-grids. It also provides substantial input to the political agenda and programmes by initiating effective collaborations between public and private sector.
