Strengthening national capacities for the world we want – Embedding Evaluation in Voluntary National Reviews

UNITAR with UNICEF’s Evaluation Office and in partnership with UNECA

The side event will aim to show-case and share experiences on the use of evaluative thinking and evidence in Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs); and to further foster a dialogue on the importance of positioning evidence in Agenda 2030 follow-up and reporting. The ultimate aim will be to promote evidence-based policy and decision making to accelerate progress towards the SDGs. The format will be a panel discussion made up of and attended by government representatives, other policy makers, civil society, parliamentarians, UN organizations, and the donor community.
